Phase 2 report

Drafting of the final report is under way. An outline structure is in place and individual chapters are at different stages of drafting. When the draft is nearing completion it will be necessary to write under rule 13 to those who may be subject to criticism explaining the basis on which such criticism may be made. The final draft will need to have references checked and to be proofread before printing. A number of the Inquiry's expert witnesses have been asked for their suggestions on recommendations. The task remains extension, but the Panel is committed to producing a comprehensive, well reasoned and persuasive report as soon as it can.

Publication of documents

Following the conclusion of hearings for Phase 2, the Inquiry team is undertaking a sweep-up and publication process and will continue to publish documents on the website. A list of documents published on the website since 11 November 2022 can be found here

Community drop-in sessions

The Inquiry will hold drop-in sessions every quarter for BSRs and the local community throughout the report writing stage. These sessions are also an opportunity for members of the public to learn more about the Inquiry process and to ask any questions that they may have for members of the Inquiry team.

Disclosure figures

As at 26 February 2023, the Inquiry has disclosed 20,737 documents in Phase 1 and 299,524 documents in Phase 2, making a total of 320,261.
