Update on Inquiry Hearings
Summer Break
The Inquiry will not be sitting for hearings throughout August, although other Inquiry work will continue during this time.
Resumption of Hearings
Hearings will resume on Monday 6 September at 10:00.
Now that the Government has removed the majority of its Covid-19 restrictions, the Inquiry currently intends to open its premises to all BSRs and members of the public who wish to attend when hearings resume in September. However, a majority of the Inquiry team will continue to work from home and we are asking RLRs to avoid attending unless it is necessary. While Covid-19 cases remain high and the rules on self-isolation remain, we want to minimise the risk of disruption to the progress of hearings.
An enhanced cleaning regime will continue. We ask that attendees continue to wear masks when moving around the building and make use of the numerous sanitiser stations available.
Updated Provisional Timetable for Phase 2
The Inquiry has published an updated provisional timetable for Phase 2. This can be found here.
Disclosure figures
As at 22 July 2021, the Inquiry has disclosed 20,752 documents in Phase 1 and 259,185 in Phase 2, making a total of 279,937.
Core Participant figures
The full list of the Inquiry's core participants (CPs) is available on the key documents page. Further information on CPs is covered in our guide, which includes details of the role they play in the Inquiry and how this differs from being a witness.
The total number of CPs is 642.
Support arrangements during limited attendance hearings
